Filmmaker Bio - Scott Otto Anderson
Scott Otto Anderson’s work spans TV, film, theatre, art, music video and commercials. His first directing gig was on cult music show Alchemy on SBS TV. Since then his films have screened at festivals including the Edinburgh, Rotterdam and Sydney International Film Festivals. He directed the A-Z of Contemporary Art for ABC TV which has since sold to Ovation in the US. His work has been recognised with awards at Cannes Lions, AWARD, D&AD, One Show, the Optus One80 award for MTV drama Dream Life (Porchlight Films) and the inclusion of his short film Un Film de Jean Baudrillard in the permanent collection of the Australian Centre for the Moving Image. He is a founding partner at PHOTOPLAY and executive producer of feature films Berlin Syndrome (Sundance), Goldstone (Sydney Film Festival Opening Night Film) and Sweet Country (Winner Special Jury Prize Venice Film Festival, Winner Platform Prize Toronto International Film Festival, Winner Adelaide Film Festival Audience Award).
